The American Red Cross has announced upcoming blood drives.
Local blood donation opportunities are:
• Thursday, Sept. 18, noon-6 p.m., Second Congregational Church, 51 Main St., Newcastle.
• Tuesday, Sept. 23, noon-5 p.m., University of Maine, 246 Main St., Farmington.
• Wednesday, Sept. 24, noon-5 p.m., University of Maine, 246 Main St., Farmington.
• Thursday, Sept. 25, 1-6 p.m., American Legion, 79 Legion Memorial Drive, South China.
• Thursday, Sept. 25, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Department of Labor, 45 Commerce Drive, Augusta.
All blood types are needed. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. For more information or an appointment, call 800-733-2767 or visit www.redcrossblood.org.
