Annabelle Carlton of Monmouth Academy broke a scoreless tie with 27:23 remaining in regulation, but Caroline Harper of Maranacook answered seven minutes later as the Mustangs and Black Bears played to a 1-1 draw in a girls soccer game Thursday in Monmouth.

It was the final game of the regular season for Monmouth (7-5-2), which is ranked fifth statewide in Class D. Maranacook (11-1-1), ranked No. 1 in Class C South, has one game remaining.

Maranacook keeper Stella Stewart stopped six shots, while Monmouth’s Lily Carlton made seven saves.

HALL-DALE 3, OAK HILL 0: Freshman striker Clare Sturtevant scored three times and the Bulldogs (6-4-3) beat the Raiders (1-10-2) in Wales.

Meghan Inch had two assists and freshman goalie Lexi Tinkham made three saves for Hall-Dale.

Oak Hill’s Grace Lough stopped 11 shots.

MT. ABRAM 6, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Evelyn Pepin recorded three goals and an assist to lift the Roadrunners (9-2-1) past them Phoenix (4-8-2) in Salem. 

Jenna Osgood added a goal and an assist, and both Lya Pepin and Ellie Dentico added a goal for Mt. Abram. Abby McCarty had two assists and Edna Bilodeau stopped two shots. 

Jayda McDonald made 15 saves for Spruce Mountain.

SKOWHEGAN 6, OXFORD HILLS 0: Lydia Herrick produced a hat trick as the River Hawks (11-1-1) rolled past the Vikings (0-13) in Paris.

Lauryn Moore, Mae Dubois and Vivian Hart were the other scorers.

Oxford Hills keeper Natalie Cooke turned asided 17 shots.

FIELD HOCKEY

HALL-DALE/MONMOUTH 3, DIRIGO 0: Grace Estes opened the scoring in the second quarter, Hannah Rauch struck twice in the third quarter and Chloe Beauchesne assisted on all three goals as the Bulldogs (8-4-1) defeated the Cougars (5-8-1) in Farmingdale.

Maia Cote earned the shutout by making 14 saves. Keira Reny had eight saves for Dirigo in its regular-season finale.

BOYS SOCCER

EDWARD LITTLE 1, MT. BLUE 0: Christian Mazina scored from Khalid Mohamed in the first half to lift the Eddies (5-4-3) past the Cougars (8-5) in Farmington.

Max Kimble made seven saves for Edward Little, while Kooper Keller had six saves for Mt. Blue.
