One person was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash in Belgrade on Tuesday, according to the Maine State Police.
Around 10:30 a.m., troopers responded to the crash on Augusta Road, state police spokesperson Shannon Moss said in an email Wednesday.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that a Ford Mustang was traveling northbound when it was rear-ended by a box truck,” Moss said. “The crash pushed the Mustang into the southbound lane where it was hit by a pickup truck traveling southbound.”
The Mustang’s driver was taken via LifeFlight of Maine helicopter to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries, Moss said.
The drivers of the two trucks were not injured.
Moss had no information Wednesday about the drivers involved or any other details about the investigation into the crash. She said the state trooper assigned to investigate the crash was unavailable and a crash report was unfinished.
