Carter Peevy threw four touchdown passes and the University of Maine won its sixth straight game, beating Hampton 35-7 in a Coastal Athletic Association football game on Saturday in Hampton, Virginia.

The Black Bears improve to 6-4, 5-1 in the Coastal Athletic Association. Hamilton falls to 2-8, 0-6. Maine has two games left in the regular season, at home next week against Rhode Island, and at New Hampshire on Nov. 22.

Peevy completed 17 of 24 passes for 121 yards.

The Black Bears jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 21-yard pass from Peevy to Ty’ee Stephens early in the first quarter. Rashawn Marshall made it 14-0 with a 1-yard run later in the first.

Hamilton pulled within seven on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Earl Woods III to Jah’Kei Chavis. Maine stretched its lead back to 14 when Marshall caught a 6-yard TD with 36 second left in the first.

Peavy threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Eli Mahan in the third quarter and a 10-yard TD pass to Scott Woods in the fourth.

CURRY 47, UNIV. OF NEW ENGLAND 30: The Colonels (8-1, 6-0 CNE) scored the last 31 points of the game to beat the Nor’easters (7-2, 4-2) in Milton, Massachusetts.

Damien Jones rushed for 262 yards and four touchdowns on 23 carries for UNE. He gave the Nor’easters the lead on a 47-yard run int he first quarter. Curry tied it on a 32-yard pass from Anthony Santino to Karrem Chaplin and took the lead on a 9-yard run by Montie Quinn.

Jones added a 78-yard run in the second quarter, to pull UNE within three and Anthony Lacapru kicked a 24-yard field goal to tie the game at 16-16. Jones gave the Nor’easters the lead with a 12-yard run with 53 seconds left in the first half, then scored on a 27-yard run in the third to make it 30-16.

It was all Curry from there as Santino scored his second touchdown on a 2-yard run with 8:13 left in the third and added a 21-yard reception from Wesley Williams to tie the score at 30-30. A 28-yard rush by Quinn, Aboutoui 41-yard field goal and Jordan Depina’s 4-yard rush with 1:03 left capped the scoring.

COLBY 16, BOWDOIN 6: The Mules (6-3) scored 16 points in the second quarter and held off the Polar Bears (2-7) in Waterville to win the Colby-Bates-Bowdoin title. ‘

Colby beat Bates 13-6 in overtime to sweep the series.

On Saturday, the Mules took the lead with a safety early in the second quarter. Patrick Miller than capped a four-play, 75-yard drive with a 2-yard run to give Colby a 9-0 lead. Declan McNamara added a 28-yard interception return for a touchdown later in the second.

Slade Postemski caught a 28-yard pass from Soren Hummel for Bowdoin.

WESTERN NEW ENGLAND 70, MAINE MARITIME 7: Paul Gorry threw for 313 yards and five touchdowns as the Golden Bears (6-4, 4-3 CNE) rolled to a win over the Mariners (0-9, 0-6) in Castine. 

Auston Harris rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown for MMA. 

HAMILTON 24, BATES 21: The Bobcats (2-7) pulled within three on a 54-yard scoring pass from Connor Hennessey to Maverick Selementi with 5:56 left in the fourth, but the Continentals (2-7) were able to kill the clock and earn a NESCAC win in Lewiston. 

Hennessey completed 11 of 21 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns for Bates. 

HUSSON 63, NICHOLS 19: Max Clark threw four touchdown passes and Jed Lober rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns to lift the Eagles (3-6, 2-4 CNE) past the Bisons (2-7, 2-4) in Dudley, Massachusetts. 

Clark was 10 for 16 passing for 181 yards.
