Tyler Huck scored twice as Bowdoin defeated UMass Boston 3-2 in an NCAA Division III men’s soccer second-round game Sunday in Brunswick.
The Polar Bears (12-3-3) will face NESCAC rival Connecticut College (11-3-5) in the third round with a date, time and place to be determined. The teams played to a 1-1 draw on Sept. 13.
After UMass Boston (13-4-4) took a 1-0 lead on an own goal, Huck tied the game on a penalty kick in the 18th minute. Liam Myers scored in the 23rd minute to give the Polar Bears the lead, and Huck scored in the 55th minute to make it 3-1. UMass Boston’s Ryan Lima scored in the 86th minute to complete the scoring.
