A Farmington road will be closed Tuesday to through traffic to allow for tree removal.

The south end of Box Shop Hill, which connects at both ends to Fairbanks Road, will be closed for most of the day Tuesday.

Access to the road will be limited while a crew of Central Maine Power Co. workers cuts down three large maple trees, according to an emailed statement from the Town Office.

All homes will be accessible from the north end and the first two homes can be accessed in an emergency, the email stated.
