WATERVILLE — Friends of Quarry Road announced in a news release it seeks winter volunteers to staff its welcome center yurt at Quarry Road Recreation Area, Quarry Road.

Volunteers greet visitors, sell refreshments and ski passes and rent skis. Training is provided and volunteers receive a free day pass for every four hours volunteered, a T-shirt and chance to win a 2015-16 season ski pass.
