SKOWHEGAN — Kyle Dugas singled home Brendan Curran with the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Skowhegan baseball team edged Hampden 3-2 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Wednesday afternoon.

Curran singled, stole second and then later came home on Dugas’ single to right.

Dugas finished with two singles and three RBIs. Curran also doubled for Skowhegan (3-6).

Hampden dropped to 3-6.

MESSALONSKEE 9, BREWER 1: Trevor Gettig went 3-for-3 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base as the Eagles prevailed in a KVAC A game in Oakland.

Connor Garland and Sam Bell each went 2-for-4 for the Eagles (7-1) .

Nick Mayo struck out 12 in six innings, allowing three hits and walking four, to earn the victory.

Jacob Courier doubled for Brewer (6-3).

WATERVILLE 4, CAMDEN HILLS 2: Dan Pooler smacked a two-run home run in the sixth inning to lead the Purple Panthers over the Windjammers in Camden.

Pooler was a triple short of the cycle, as he also had a double and single for Waterville (6-3). A.J. Godin went the distance on the mound for the Purple Panthers, striking out three.

Mike Wolff had a double for Camden Hills (7-2).

ERSKINE 3, LEAVITT 1: Zack Glidden struck out the last two batters to strand the potential tying and winning runs in scoring position and give Dylan Presby his first varsity win as Erskine edged Leavitt.

Presby tossed 6 1/3 strong innings, allowing five hits before giving way to Glidden with runners at second and third. Nick Turcotte had an RBI single and Caleb Cummings a two-run single for the Eagles (3-1). Ian Godfrey drove in the only run for the Hornets (2-7).

BELFAST 6, WINSLOW 5: The Lions scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to cap a comeback and take the KVAC B win in Belfast.

Down 5-1, Belfast (6-3) scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth before scoring the game-winner in the seventh. Logan Smith and Drew Stanley doubled for the Lions.

Dylan Hapworth and Nate Gagnon each had two hits for Winslow (6-3).

SOFTBALL

MESSALONSKEE 5, BREWER 3: Madisyn Charest had two hits, including a double, to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

MollyAn Killingbeck also had a pair of hits for Messalonskee (7-2). Kirsten Pelletier struck out 15 without walking a batter in the win.

Brewer, which scored all its runs in the top of the first, dropped to 4-5. Anna Chute led the Witches with a pair of singles.

CARRABEC 13, ST. DOMINIC 1, 5 innings: Mickayla Willette pitched a two-hitter and struck out 10 as the Cobras defeated the Saints in North Anson.

Willette also had two singles, as did Paige Chadbourne and Liberty Chestnut. Bailey Dunphy drove in four runs and also scored four times. The Cobras have won five in a row and are now 6-3.

Allie Veinote and Sarah Clark singled for St. Dom’s (1-8).

SKOWHEGAN 6. HAMPDEN 4: The Indians scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to rally from behind and beat the Broncos in Skowhegan.

Renee Wright and Lindsey Warren each had three hits for Skowhegan (7-2). In the fifth, Wylie Bedard delivered an RBI double to get the Indians within 4-3. With two outs, Warren singled home two more runs to give Skowhegan the lead for good. Ashley Alward pitched a five-hitter for the win.

Hampden is 2-7.

CONY 9, LAWRENCE 2: Arika Brochu had a home run, single, three RBIs and earned the win in the circle to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Kassidy Turgeon added three singles for Cony (7-2) whle Haley Ward had a triple and single and Delaney Keithley two singles. Sydney Cheever also had a home run.

Katie Lindsey had a double and single for Lawrence (2-8) and Lauren Lambert doubled.

MONMOUTH 14, MT. ABRAM 1, 5 innings: The Mustangs broke open a close game with seven runs in the fourth inning and five in the fifth to down the Roadrunners in Salem Township.

Caroline Bonenfant led Monmouth’s offense with a home run, a double, and a single. Caleigh Copeland and Tia Day each added two hits for the Mustangs (5-4). Em Chasse pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts.

Mt. Abram is 3-6.

WINSLOW 26, BELFAST 7, 5 innings: The Black Raiders had 15 hits in their win over the Lions in Belfast.

Hayley Pottle, Jenna Petrovic, and Kiana Richards all hit home runs for Winslow (7-2). Hannah Doble earned the win in the circle for her third victory of the season.

OXFORD HILLS 18, MT. BLUE 4, 6 innings: The Vikings scored nine runs in the top of the first inning and went on to the win in Farmington.

Erin Morton had three hits for the Vikings (9-1), and Savanna Morin, Anna Piirainen, Cody Akers, and Anna Winslow added two hits each. Hannah Kenney homered and Alyssa Morin chipped in with a two-run triple.

Mt. Blue (3-6) scored all four of its runs in the third inning. Lauren Guppy and Addie Brinkman each singled twice for the Cougars.

BOYS LACROSSE

MESSALONSKEE 15, OXFORD HILLS 4: Dylan Jones scored four goals and assisted on two others as the Eagles rolled the Vikings in Oakland.

Connor Smith added three goals for Messalonskee (5-2), while Dylan Burton scored twice and picked up an assist.

John Lejauhod led Oxford Hills (0-6) with three goals.

MT. BLUE 10, LAWRENCE 7: Cordell Ellis scored four goals to lead the Cougars to a win over the Bulldogs in Fairfield.

Tanner Bessey added two goals for Mt. Blue (1-5). Alex Gilbert made 11 saves.

Gunner McAllister led Lawrence (1-8) with three goals.
