The 29th annual Maine Children’s Cancer Program WALK will take place simultaneously in seven locations across Maine on Saturday, Sept. 19. The purpose of the MCCP WALK is to raise both awareness and funds for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, Maine’s comprehensive treatment center for children fighting cancer and blood disorders, according to a news release from New Dimensions Federal Credit Union.
The credit union invites surrounding community members and businesses to participate in the Waterville area walk — participants will meet at the Alfond Youth Center at 126 North St., Waterville. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. with the walk to start promptly at 9 a.m. Individuals interested in participating or donating to the walk can do so online at newdimensionsfcu.com or during registration of the event.
