U.S. Air Force Airman Brooke L. Ettinger graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Ettinger is the daughter of Amy L. Fleurent, of Waterville, Maine, and David A. Ettinger of Sidney, Maine; step-daughter of Jeremy Fleurent of Waterville, Maine, and Debra G. Ettinger of Sidney, Maine; and granddaughter of Donald and Margaret Ettinger of Ocala, Florida, and Bernard and Rosalie Lareau, of Waterville, Maine.

She is a 2015 Waterville Senior High School graduate.
