My name is Jason Carey and I am running for the two-year position on the selectboard for the town of Belgrade.
As a longtime resident of Belgrade, I have had the privilege to work with many strong leaders in pursuit of doing what’s right for the community. As the father of two emerging leaders, and husband of a caring woman, I find great pleasure in serving the communities in which I live and operate. Modeling action, in my mind, is the way you inspire others to act.
I work as an entrepreneur, have the good fortune of holding a position with Maine’s Juvenile Justice Advisory Group, teach music privately, and look forward to working within town government. Learning and contributing to community are two very important things to me, at a personal level, at this time in my life. I stay in touch with many state leaders and keep my ear open to what’s coming down the pike. Part of what I hope to do is add to the good work of the selectboard by making it easy and fun for citizens of all ages and capacity to stay up to date and informed of issues as they relate to our beautiful town of Belgrade.
I have opened a Facebook page, www.facebook.com/JasonCareySelectBoard, which will serve as a communications portal, and look forward to hearing from you.
I will continue to work for my family, friends, and neighbors, so I would appreciate your vote Friday, March 18, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., at the Center for All Seasons.
