WATERVILLE — A Maine inmate is facing new felony drug charges after police say he coordinated drug trafficking in Waterville from jail.
Three other people also have been arrested.
Thirty-one-year-old Mark Hilliard, of Bronx, N.Y., was charged Friday with illegal importation and conspiracy and aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs.
Based on a tip, police say they also arrested 24-year-old Sammiya Butts, of Bronx, N.Y., after she arrived in Waterville by bus and traveled to a WalMart parking lot by car. Police say they seized 70 packages of crack cocaine worth about $5,000. Also arrested were 35-year-old Timothy Hogan and 20-year-old Elizabeth O’Neil of Waterville. The four are scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 10. It was not immediately known if they were being represented by lawyers.
