I have lived in China for 60 years. When we bought our house, China Lake was so clean I used lake water to do my laundry. Now the lake is so dirty my children and grandchildren will no longer swim in it. They choose to go elsewhere to swim.
From my home, I see people enjoying the north end of the lake; they swim, go fishing and launch their boats. They also use the Church Park, which is open to the public, to go swimming, picnic and sunbathe. What is the matter with the town-owned property at the Head of the Lake? There we have all the lake access we need, and it is available for year round use. Please stop and think before voting to buy The Cabins (formerly Candlewood).
