When people come to visit from out of state, they always want to see a whale and a moose. We send them to Acadia National Park to see a whale. Now, I have hopes that there may be a North Woods National Park where I can send them to see a moose.

Kudos to Sen. Angus King for stimulating dialogue in northern Maine about the potential benefits and risks of such a park. Personally, I’d like to see more tourists and money and jobs in northern Maine that would come from such a park.

I just hope that the moose are ready and put their best antlers forward.
