Eastside Detroit native Doug Deming, now hailing from Florida’s Gulf Coast, has garnered widespread attention for his deft guitar work and memorable songwriting. Paired with acclaimed harp man and touring partner Dennis Gruenling, and backed by the Jewel Tones lineup of Andrew Gohman on upright and Fender bass, and Devin Neel on drums, the band creates upbeat, dance inducing music. Most people, upon hearing music by Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones, recognize them as a band that reurns to the roots of blues as opposed to a continuation of modern adaptions of the style, according to a news release from the band..
