Members of Maine’s Muslim community gathered Saturday at First Parish Church in Portland to celebrate Eid al-Adha – “Feast of Sacrifice” – with the Alzahraa Arabic School. The Islamic holiday occurs during the annual pilgrimage to Mecca and in most places lasts for four days.
