MADISON — McNear, Pillsbury and Burns will perform rock, R&B and modern pop from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Somerset Abbey, 98 Main St.

Shane McNear will be belting out some of his own self written songs as well as carrying the beat with his rhythm guitar, Seth Pillsbury will play guitar solos and Caroline, who just returned from competing on NBC’s “The Voice,” is lead vocalist.

McNear is a local son of Maine who performs as a singer and songwriter and has performed more than 80 shows just this last year locally at various bars, events and restaurants.

When playing solo acoustic gigs, McNear plays a variety of music including classic rock, hits from the 90s as well as original material. He wrote and put out his own album in 2013 called “Far From a Dirt Road.”

Burns is a 17-year-old singer from Hollis, New Hampshire. She was a finalist on Season 10 of NBC’s “The Voice.” She has been singing, dancing and acting from a young age.

Pillsbury grew up in a musical family, both parents played music extensively throughout Maine throughout his childhood. Some of his earliest memories were at his uncle’s music store in Pittston. He graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta with a degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music. He has been playing guitar for more than 20 years, and teaching for 15 years.

He plays all over New England year round. At shows, he plays such diverse styles as rock, metal, country, Celtic, classical and jazz.
