The fluffy snow falling across Maine won’t amount to much, but could slow the Wednesday morning commute.
Light snow is falling across the southern half of the state Wednesday morning and should move on to northern and eastern areas by this afternoon. Most areas can expect 1 to 3 inches of fluffy snow.
Emergency dispatchers in Cumberland and York counties say there have been no car crashes or slide-offs reported and said crews have been out treating the roads since before dawn. The speed limit is reduced to 45 mph for the entire length of the Maine Turnpike.
There are no school cancellations today, but both Berwick Academy and Sanford Christian Academy announced two-hour delays.
