Traffic on Route 133 in Wayne was snarled for about two hours Tuesday when an oil truck tipped onto its side.
The Dead River Co. oil truck tipped over as it was headed east on an incline, coming to a rest on the driver’s side, according to Wayne Fire Chief Bruce Mercier. The driver was unhurt in the accident, which was reported shortly before noon.
Officials from the state Department of Transportation and the Department of Environmental Protection were called to the scene. Mercier said little, if any, oil leaked from the truck.
Tow trucks were able to get the truck back onto its wheels and clear the scene after about two hours.
Tuesday’s snow caused several minor accidents across the region and prompted schools to release students early for the day.
