HALLOWELL — A benefit concert is set for 8:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at Slates’ Restaurant, 169 Water St
The benefit event, for The Harlow Gallery, is part of Slates’ Monday Night Concert Series.
“We have a great night of music planned for this benefit concert for our long-time neighbors, the Harlow Gallery,” Daggett said in a news release from the gallery.
Singer/songwriter Anna Pillsbury will start off the evening performing songs from her upcoming EP. Pillsbury’s songs draw inspiration from folk and pop genres and give listeners an authentic snapshot into her life while showcasing her honesty and playful sense of humor.
For the second part of the evening local musicians/poets gather to pay tribute to the music of the late, great Leonard Cohen.
Jacob Allen, Robby Coffin, Katie Daggett, Marcia Gallagher, Bruce Mayo and others will perform their Leonard Cohen favorites.
