SMITHFIELD — A LifeFlight helicopter was sent to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Wilder Hill Road at around 4 p.m. Friday.

Sean Boyd of the Smithfield Fire Department said the accident appeared to be a one-car rollover. The driver, a young woman, was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, said Boyd. He did not know the girl’s name or any other details about her condition.

Wilder Hill Road is a dirt road and the the accident occurred at a corner near an intersection with Sand Hill Road, Boyd said.

Maine State Police, Smithfield Rescue and Delta Ambulance also responded to the accident.
