Standish Neck Road in Standish, near the Gorham town line, has been closed to traffic by police after a motor vehicle crashed into a utility pole, according to Cumberland County’s Regional Communications Center.

It said the accident was initially reported as a single-vehicle crash with injuries. A dispatcher said the accident was reported at 5:07 p.m. Tuesday.

Police are not sure when the road will reopen. No other details are available at this time.
