NEWCASTLE — The DaPonte String Quartet will perform a free holiday concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Second Congregational Church, 51 Main St.

This year’s program will include music by Scarlatti, a Mozart quartet, Britten’s Simple Symphony and some Renaissance motets. Refreshments will be provided, courtesy of Damariscotta’s finest purveyors of food.

The string ensemble is celebrating its 26th year as a quartet.
