WATERVILLE — At Tuesday’s public hearing, the council will discuss borrowing for projects including the Waterville Opera House renovation and expansion project; Waterville Public Library renovations; improvements to Campus Drive through Colby College and other items, according to Council Chairman Dana Sennett, D-Ward 4.

Officials identify cause of Oakland restaurant fire
OAKLAND – A fire that damaged Tracy’s Tavern at 835 Kennedy Memorial Drive early Sunday was caused by combustibles placed too close to a portable electrical heater, Fire Chief David Coughlin said just after 1:30 p.m.

Fire damages Oakland restaurant
OAKLAND — State fire investigators Sunday were trying to determine the cause of a fire that damaged Tracy’s Tavern, a restaurant on Kennedy Memorial Drive.
The fire was reported at 12:30 a.m. at a two-story wood building which also houses H&R Block.
