Jake covers Skowhegan and the surrounding area for the Morning Sentinel. Before arriving to central Maine, Jake reported for GBH News, Boston.com, El Mundo Boston, and the Appalachian Mountain Club's magazine. Jake graduated from Tufts University, where he was a reporter and editor for The Tufts Daily, the school's independent student newspaper. Though he grew up in the Boston area, Jake has spent the last several summers working as a whitewater rafting guide in Maine on the Kennebec, Penobscot, and Dead Rivers. He also taught English for a year in Spain's Canary Islands.
