Kate McCormick is the Franklin County reporter for the Morning Sentinel. She previously worked as a general assignment reporter for the Portland Press Herald. Before moving to Maine, Kate interned with the Washington Post's investigative team, traveling to Wichita, Kan. to report for the 2016 rollout of the Post's Pulitzer Prize-winning Fatal Force series on police shootings. At the Post, Kate also worked on metro investigations including a story on evictions in the District of Columbia that led to changes in the district's eviction policies.
