The Way It Was in Hallowell: Week of March 10-17

Showcasing what happened in the Hallowell-area on this date for the week of March 10-17.

The class will be held on the evening of Wednesday, April 2, unless otherwise noted.

The supper will be an ‘Old Fashioned New England Boiled dinner with an Irish Twist.’

Participants will use specialized tools to graft young trees to take home.

The foundation funds organizations that benefit children in need, and these funds will support camp’s Dirigo Experience and Camp Pine Cone programs.

Participants will receive the ServSafe Manager Book 7th Edition, diagnostic exam and practice exam approximately two weeks prior to the course.

Trails are expected to have increased traffic, especially in areas near Maine’s borders.

The workshops will be held at Second Congregational Church in Newcastle.

This year’s series will focus on Maine’s native amphibians and reptiles.

The event will feature lyric essayist noam keim.
