Convicted killer’s Riverview escape conviction overturned by state’s top court
Mark Ian Gessner had his conviction overturned and the charge dismissed after a ruling Tuesday by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, which said he had been improperly tried for the same criminal incident twice.
