    Runners in colorful patriotic garb sprint to the finish line of the 17th annual Friends on the Fourth 5k on Thursday in Winthrop. There were 479 finishers and the event was a fundraiser for the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed. Jacob Hickey was the first male finisher at 15:40.4 and Kristina Guerette was the first female finisher at 19:16.2.
