Morgan Smith and her mother, Jill, of Hermon, bond with Walter. The Smiths decided to adopt Walter at the conclusion of the pet blessing at the Cox Memorial United Methodist Church in Hallowell on Sunday.
Pastor Nancy Bischoff, minister at the Cox Memorial United Methodist Church in Hallowell, holds Buddy during the pet blessing. Buddy's family, looking on, includes Amy Wilson, Hayley, Joshua and Kris McGrath of Farmingdale.
Tribb attended the Cox Memorial United Methodist Church pet blessing with owner Ronald Merriman of Fayette. Merriman adopted Tribb at 2 years old with severe eye injuries. Tribb is estimated to be about 18 years old and is totally blind and deaf.
