Chris Shulenski, of Skowhegan, said he gave his friend John Williams a ride into Norridgewock just before Williams allegedly shot and killed Cpl. Eugene Cole and stole the officer's cruiser early Wednesday morning. "What made me nervous was — and I didn't notice until he got out of the car — was he had a bullet proof vest," Shulenski said.
