Hallowell Fire Dept. Capt. Mike Dovinsky digs out a storm drain Saturday at the bottom of a stream running through a wooded hillside in Hallowell. The fire department responded to pump out the flooded basement of a residential home caused by the overflowing stream. Once the storm drain was opened, the flow into the neighborhood lessened.
