Bachelder said that Wingate Landscaping had a contract to clear the trail from Augusta, including the spur to Kennebec Valley YMCA, through Hallowell and Farmingdale to Gardiner and back. He said that it takes about 10 hours to clear the trail in both directions and some trailside parking areas.
