    Bartender Dave Pottle recovers a pumpkin with his face painted on it from the detritus of stools and kegs in the back corner of the Hydeout at The Wharf around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday Jan. 16, 2018 in Hallowell. It had been painted for Halloween by Hillary Davis who runs the Scrummy Afters candy shop upstairs. Later it was decorated with a Pilgrim hat for Thanksgiving and most recently a Santa Claus hat for Christmas.

They were part of the crew cleaning up the bar at the base of Central Street. There had been several feet of water inside and the stage had floated out of its place in the corner.
