Runners take off at starting line of the Gasping Gobbler 5k Thursday at Cony Middle/High School in Augusta. About 200 runners and walkers took part in the annual holiday fundraiser for the school's All Sports Boosters. Age group winners won a frozen turkey for first place, a pie for second and rolls for third. The first place male and female winners got all three of those things and a trophy. Several participants work turkey hats or shirts and one runner even ran the race in a full turkey costume.
