Norman Ng, a magician from Hollis, performs a show at Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Ng became fascinated with magic from an early age while growing up in Portland.

Lucas Ng, 5, plays with an umbrella at home in Hollis. Lucas was born completely deaf in both ears, but with cochlear implants that he received as a toddler, he can hear.

Ng, shown performing at Camp Sunshine, is traveling the country to perform. This summer he’ll be the focus of an episode of the TV show "Penn & Teller: Fool US" on the CW network.

Ng helps his son Lucas, 5, operate a 1974 Ford tractor at their home in Hollis. Ng, a magician who often travels to perform shows, has developed a hobby of restoring tractors with Lucas who was born deaf in both ears. This tractor was a present for Lucas for his fourth birthday.
