Great Northern Paper’s mill in Millinocket was shut down in 2008. Its separate East Millinocket operation closed this year.

Lincoln Paper & Tissue LLC currently employs 200 people at its specialty paper manufacturing operations in Lincoln.

Logs are delivered to Androscoggin Mill in Jay, formerly owned by International Paper. Verso Paper now owns the mill.

Verso Paper’s mill in Bucksport is scheduled to be closed by year’s end, leaving more than 500 people out of work.
