UPDATE: 12-year-old girl killed in Farmington crash
Police have identified a 12-year-old girl from Connecticut as the person killed this morning in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a minivan along Route 2.
Killed was Tess Meisel, of Westport, Conn., who was sitting in the rear of the van, according to Maine State Police.
Two other children in the van, along with both drivers, were taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
