The film, ‘a Peace of Forest,’ was made by a Maine couple in Whitefield over four years. It is the first feature-length film to be shown in Johnson Hall since 1958.

Norridgewock home where 46 shih tzus were seized had prior complaints, affidavit shows
An Oct. 24 search of the property revealed 48 dogs, including 46 that were white or tan shih tzus, and five cats, all of which were seized by the state, according to Maine’s animal seizure identification log.

Skowhegan-area schools placed on lock-out after threat on social media
A 16-year-old boy who was believed to have made the threat was located in Albion about an hour after police began their investigation, according to Skowhegan police.

Sewer rate to jump 7.5% for Winthrop Utilities District customers
