The 44-acre Seawards Mills Stream Conservation Area — donated in June by Elizabeth Cole, of Vassalboro — includes woodlands, 3,800 feet of undeveloped frontage on historic Seawards Mills Stream and 15 acres of agricultural field.
The 75-acre Holman Conservation Area on Upper Pond Road in Litchfield — donated by conservation easement in May by Helen Holman — is south of the Land Trust’s 117-acre Webber-Rogers Farmstead conservation easement.
“We are pleased to add two new parcels to our existing protected lands in Vassalboro and Litchfield,” Kennebec Land Trust President Stan Eller said. “The trails on these properties protect important wildlife habitat and offer wonderful recreational opportunities.”
The Land Trust has protected more than 4,000 acres since 1988, the group said in a news release.
