AUGUSTA — Members of Occupy Augusta will be joining University of Maine at Augusta students, faculty and community leaders at a public forum Thursday to share opinions and ideas regarding the Occupy Wall Street movement.

The UMA forum will be run in the Occupy movement’s favored process, in which two UMA student facilitators will oversee a “stack” of speakers who are given the floor in sequence without preference of rank or stance. Anyone who has something to contribute in a spirit of civility may join the stack, according to a news release from the university announcing the event.

In the case of rain, the public forum will take place in the fireplace lounge on the second floor of the Richard C. Randall Student Center.

The forum is sponsored by UMA’s Office of Civic Engagement.
