FINISHING UP: Anthony Tafuri, of Pro Point Restoration, paints on chemicals and uses a torch to add a patina to the recently cleaned plaques on the Civil War monuments Tuesday in Augusta’s Memorial Circle. Pro Point, a company from Pittsfield, N.H., has been working for about a month on repointing the stones and cleaning and adding a patina to the plaques.
