AUGUSTA — The October Nor’easter caused 113,524 Central Maine Power customers to lose power this morning.

Households in 14 counties were without power including 15,565 in Kennebec, 6,430 in Lincoln, 2,866 in Somerset, and 2,053 in Franklin.

State Police reported dozens of accidents. No serious injuries were reported. Speed on the Turnpike was reduced to 45 mph Saturday night. More outages could be expected as heavy, wet snow continues and gusts of winds strengthen today. Snow is expected to taper off this afternoon.
