During their annual convention this past weekend in Portland, members of the Maine State Employees Association elected Ginette Rivard of Caribou as their new president.

Rivard has been a regional supervisor for the Department of Health and Humans Services. She’s served as the union’s vice president since 2008 and started Monday as president.

Also at their convention, MSEA members elected Scott Austin of Winslow as their vice president. Austin is an environmental specialist for the Department of Environmental Protection.
