Super Committee. What a joke. Then again, this Congress is the most dysfunctional group of people ever gathered in one place. What happens now? We’ve been told nothing takes effect until after the next election, so don’t worry.

Worry.

Here’s what happens Jan. 1: Two million people lose unemployment. While I don’t fully disagree with this, under present unprecedented economic circumstances, rather than cut these folks off all at once, can’t we do it a little at a time?

Soften the blow to their, and our, economy — they don’t have money, they don’t spend, there goes more of our economy; the Defense Department will lose jobs equal to an additional one percent of unemployment — add that to the folks just taken off unemployment; tax breaks for the general public equal to $1,000 end.

That, of course, amounts to a tax increase, as we have so often been told by Republicans, who are dead set against tax increases for the wealthy and why they are dead set against removing the Bush tax breaks.

They will accept taking away tax breaks for us, however.

Hypocrites.
