PITTSFIELD — The Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce is looking for a partner nonprofit organization for its 2012 Golf Scramble.

In the past two years, the Chamber partnered with the Friends of the Women’s Health Center at Sebasticook Valley Hospital and with Pine Tree Hospice and the Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County, fundraising for each organization.

The organization recently adopted new guidelines and an application process to offer similar assistance to another organizations in 2012, or to previous partners, should they apply.

A selection committee will select one nonprofit organization from one of the 12 towns served by the Chamber or an organization providing benefit to the Chamber region.

Applicants should be prepared to do the following: commit at least two to three people from the organization to serve on and attend regular committee meetings; and commit to event guidelines set by the Chamber including, but not limited to, soliciting sponsors, prizes and players to the tournament.

A copy of the guidelines and application is available from the Chamber. As part of the application process, organizations are asked to provide a brief description of the organization, the services provided and why it should be selected as the partner for 2012.
