WATERVILLE — A special service, featuring a sermon by the Rev. Kevin Grant, Christmas Colors, will be presented 11 a.m. Sunday at Kennebec Valley Baptist Church, Marston Road.

The Mount View High School Chamber Singers will present a Christmas concert at 7 p.m.

The public is invited. A nursery is available and all services are signed for the hearing impaired.

Teen Challenge Choir to perform Sunday

FARMINGTON — Teen Challenge Choir will perform at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Living Waters, 547 Wilton Road. Choir members come from a variety of backgrounds, ages and upbringings. The program of music and personal testimonies aim to bring hope.

Dedication planned for Grace Burton

FARMINGTON — A worship service will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday at Farmington Falls Union Baptist Church. A special dedication of hymnals, given to the church by family and friends of Grace Bachelder Butterfield Burton, will be presented. This Sunday was chosen as it is the closest to Burton’s Dec. 9 birthday.

Sunday will also be a memorable one for the Rev. John R. Tolman Sr., because it is the 50th anniversary of his service of ordination to the Christian Ministry by the Union Evangelical Church of Greenville with The Penobscot Association of Congregational Christian.

On Sunday, Christmas Day, there will be an hour of Christmas hymns and readings at 9 a.m.. with piano and harmonica music by Maurice and Dave Hovey. There will be no sermon, though possibly a short meditation.

Mount View singers to perform Friday

FREEDOM — Freedom Congregational Church will host the Mount View Chamber Singers as they perform carols in the round at 7 p.m. Friday. Refreshments will follow the concert in Fellowship Hall. All donations will benefit the Mount View Chamber Singers.

Christmas services

FARMINGTON — Living Waters Assembly of God will hold a Christmas service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, and a special candle light Christmas service at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23. The service will include music, a children’s choir, and a Christmas human video.

in Winslow Dec. 24

WINSLOW — Winslow Congregational Church, 12 Lithgow St., will host two services on Christmas Eve. A service with pageant is planned for 5 p.m. and an evening service at 11. On Christmas Day, a lessons and carols service is scheduled for 10 a.m.
