SOUTH PARIS — Cony scored the last five points of the game, including the game-winning bucket by Emily Sanford with 11 seconds left, to beat Oxford Hills 38-37 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A girls basketball game Friday night.

Cony (3-0) trailed by four with two minutes left when Oxford Hills point guard Abbie Eastman left with an ankle injury.

Mia Diplock had 13 points to lead Cony, while Eastman scored 16 to lead Oxford Hills (2-1).

Richmond 40, Greenville 32: Jamie Plummer scored a game-high 17 points to lead the visiting Bobcats to the East-West Conference win.

Plummer also had nine rebounds and two blocked shots. Danica Hurley added six points, seven steals and seven assists for Richmond (3-0) while Alyssa Pearson scored nine points.

Greenville (1-2) was led by Kaylee Warman with 10 points.

Mt. Ararat 46, Erskine 23: Caitlin Lafountain scored 14 points as Mt. Ararat picked up the KVAC A win in South China.

Leah Hitchcock and Mallory Nelson each added nine points for Mt. Ararat (2-1).

Bridget Humphrey had eight points for Erskine (1-2).

Messalonskee 38, Lawrence 26: Mary Badeen scored 13 points, including two 3-pointers, to lead the Eagles to a win in Fairfield.

Messalonskee (3-0) took command by outscoring Lawrence 11-1 during the second quarter to take a 21-7 halftime lead. It was the Eagles’ second straight win by a 38-26 score.

Paige Belanger’s eight points led the Bulldogs (1-2).
