Two arrested in car burglaries

SKOWHEGAN — Police have arrested two men, one of them from Skowhegan, in connection with a spate of car burglaries earlier this month near Dr. Mann Road, MRI Drive and Woodland Drive.

Police Chief Michael Emmons said Ryan Carter, 21, of Dr. Mann Road, Skowhegan, and Zacheriah Laurinaitis, also 21, of Minot, have been issued summonses on several misdemeanor burglary and theft charges. They have a court date of Feb. 22.

Among the items stolen in the burglaries was an iPod, loose change, gold coins, a GPS device and $200 in cash taken from a console. Emmons said some of the items have been recovered. More property has been located at a local pawn shop, he said.

Officers Ronnie Blodgett and Tim Williams assisted Sgt. Daniel Summers with the investigation.

IN ANSON, Tuesday at 1:40 a.m., assault was reported on Main Street.

9:25 p.m., an arrest was made after a domestic disturbance was reported on Main Street.

IN MOOSE RIVER, Monday at 7:23 p.m., a domestic disturbance was reported on Pleasant Street.

IN OAKLAND, Tuesday at 12:39 a.m., a structure fire was reported on Oak Street.

IN PITTSFIELD, Monday at 12:43 p.m., a report of a sewer problem was referred to another agency.

IN SKOWHEGAN, Monday at 9:50 a.m., police investigated a report of suspicious activity on Dr. Mann Road.

12:58 p.m., police investigated a report of forgery at Fairgrounds Market Place.

3:32 p.m., police investigated a report of a domestic disturbance on Norridgewock Avenue.

7:23 p.m., theft was reported on West Front Street.

9:20 p.m., harassment was reported on North Avenue.

Tuesday at 12:08 a.m., a domestic disturbance was reported on Family Circle.

3:22 a.m., a domestic disturbance was reported on Family Circle.

IN WATERVILLE, Monday at 10:47 a.m., a summons was issued following a report of a burglary at the North End Boys and Girls Club on Hillside Avenue. A juvenile was charged with burglary and criminal mischief.

12:41 p.m., a report of criminal mischief was investigated on Sherwin Street.

12:49 p.m., a report of forgery was taken from Waterville Tire on College Avenue.

6:21 p.m., police were called to assist another agency on Interstate-95.

6:32 p.m., a report of a theft was investigated at Burger King on College Avenue.

11:49 p.m., police were called to check on the welfare of someone on Chaplin Street.

Tuesday at 2:18 a.m., police were called to assist someone on Silver Street, near Silver Terrace.

8:28 a.m., bad checks reportedly were passed at a hair dressers on Temple Street.

10 a.m., a harassment complaint was taken from Gold Street.

Arrests

IN FAIRFIELD, Tuesday at 12:35 a.m., Justin Thomas Govoni, 20, of Fairfield, was arrested on charges of violating conditions of release, operating under the influence, terrorizing and refusing to submit to arrest.

IN MADISON, Monday at 10:42 a.m., Tari Lee Luce, 18, of Anson, was arrested on a charge of domestic-violence assault.

IN SKOWHEGAN, Tuesday at 10:05 a.m., James Johannes McLaughlin, 29, of Los Angeles, Calif., was arrested on a charge of failure to appear.
