AUGUSTA — The following people were sentenced Tuesday in separate hearings in Kennebec County Superior Court:
* Kenneth Russell Austin, 29, of Waterville, criminal attempt Aug. 12 in Waterville; 90-day jail sentence, $400 fine.
* Brian J. Coolidge, 44, of Auburn, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer July 22 in Monmouth; 15-day jail sentence.
* Scott M. Newton Jr., 25, of Chelsea, assault Feb. 26 in Randolph; 364-day jail sentence, with all but 30 days suspended, one year administrative release, $300 fine, up to $2,500 restitution.
